The Sherry Matthews Agency was hired by the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) to create a Youtube-like site targeting 18 to 24-year old males with an anti-drunk driving message. The Sherry Matthews Agency, which together with Shiny Object developed the public service videos, contracted with Vertex to create and host the site and to build an administrative application to manage it. We built the site, deployed with Flash Media Server and a Web server, and built a management application that lets administrators add, delete, and display-rank videos; change the number of comments displayed; delete inappropriate comments; and view reports.

Using short, “edgy”, humorous and heartbreaking videos to “drive home” its message, the Who’s Driving Tonight? site has won numerous awards, including Addy’s for Vertex and its partners in the project for Interactive Media and Public Service.
